We often hear people say things that are meant to help us understand how little we know about the world around us. For example, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), we’ve only explored 5% of Earth’s oceans. That’s right. Some 95% of our planet isn’t explored. Imagine the wonders that may await us at the bottom of these murky depths.
However, it’s not just the outside world that is a strange and mysterious place. There is a lot that we don’t know about the human body. Our brains are the most complex machines that we know about, and we’ve little idea as to how it all comes together — what makes them tick. But of course, that is the purpose of science: to uncover what we don’t know.
